Christmas Eve Service

Since it is unlikely that we will have snow here for Christmas, I have created my own.  Inspired by a seasonal card a friend received, I have fashioned this wonderful scene, not unlike that of my childhood when we would don our winter gear, head for church, and celebrate the birth of Christ with friend and family at the Anglican Church in Bridgetown.  The bells in the steeple would ring out good cheer and the atmosphere was mystical.  This painting entitled "Christmas Eve Service" is 5" x 10" and brings with it blessings to you and yours for a very merry Christmas.

Preparing for Christmas

I absolutely love Christmas scenes with lots of snow and activity.  I can just settle into the picture and get lost in memories of my childhood at this wonderful time of year.  I decided to try a different technique with this painting (no sketching and the lines are not well defined) and rather like the outcome.    I hope you enjoy "Preparing for Christmas".  It is 8" x 16".

A Peaceful Day at Blue Rocks

This is another of my favorite spots to visit in Nova Scotia.  Blue Rocks is a wonderful, tranquil destination  located just outside of Lunenburg.  Nestled along the coastline, its harbour is the home to many lobster fishermen.  "A Peaceful Day at Blue Rocks" is 5" x 10".
