The Christmas Tree

One of my favourite Christmas memories is trudging through the woods with my dad to get the Christmas tree. Mom always stayed home to bake some special treat (often it was her tasty doughnuts) for us to have when we returned. This painting entitled “The Christmas Tree” is 5” x 7”, and is perfect for a Christmas Card. It is my Merry Christmas greeting to everyone who has made 2011 a very successful year. God Bless!

An Early Snow

Last week we were given a taste of what is to come when Nova Scotia experienced a rather bold snow storm. Schools were cancelled and everyone stayed off the roads, when possible. I rather liked the event, hurrying outside early in the morning to decorate a tree on my deck. Christmas lights always look better with snow. “An Early Snow” is 7” x 9”. I will be at the Annapolis Royal Farmer's and Trader’s Christmas Market on Saturday, December 3rd from 10 - 4 at AWEC. Hope to see you there.

A Reflection

I was walking on the nature trail in Annapolis Royal with a friend on Sunday when we happened upon three deer, grazing along the path. (a very safe place for deer this time of year) So with that scene in mind, I have painted a deer enjoying the safety of a farmyard, which I have determined is off limits to hunters. “A Reflection” is 7” x 9”.

I will be at the Annapolis Valley MacDonald Museum Annual Christmas Craft Show on Friday, November 25th from 5 – 9, and on Saturday, November 26th, from 10 – 4. If you’re in the area, drop by.
