Saddling Up for a Ride

We are in for a wonderful July 1st holiday weekend here in Nova Scotia and what a great time to consider going horseback riding.  Obviously the man in this painting is up to just that.  “Saddling Up for a Ride” is 7” x 9” and will be at the Farmer’s and Trader’s Market in Annapolis tomorrow along with over thirty paintings.  See you there, and enjoy the holiday.

A Country Scene

I love painting valley scenes, especially farms, homes, and churches in a small village.  This painting entitled “A Country Scene” is just such a place.  I hope it makes you dream of walking up the church steps, meandering across the bridge, or riding on the hay wagon.  “A Country Scene” is 8” x 16”.

Downtown in Winter

In just six weeks I will be attending the Nova Scotia Folk Art Festival in Lunenburg, so it is time to get demanding painting.  Along with the other shows happening this summer, it is an exciting time.  This painting entitled “Downtown in Winter” is 6” x 24”.  All of the buildings are from photos taken on a road trip last summer.

The Long Wait

This is for all the families that have spent long, arduous hours watching stormy seas for the vessel carrying their loved ones to return safely home.  May God blanket the ships and crew that grace these shores with protection.  "The Long Wait" is 5" x 10".

Winter Farming

I know, I know, a winter painting on a beautiful sunny afternoon in June.  But hey, some people actually want winter scenes and I rather like this one.  Hope you do to.  “Winter Farming” is 8” x 16”.

Spring Flowers

Each day when I go for my walk I get pleasure from the many spring flowers – dandelions, lupines, lilacs, bleeding hearts, lily of the valley.  Finally, color is being added to the outdoor world, and it is truly appreciated. Just a note: there is a John Deere tractor in this one:)  This painting entitled “Spring Flowers” is 11” x 14”.
