Skating on the Pond

I know, I know! What am I doing painting a winter scene on a beautiful summer day (fall is not officially here yet)? I have to confess – I love winter! Although autumn is my favorite time of year, I look forward to the shorter days, the cold nights, and the first snow. Also, I am busy getting ready for my first Christmas show of the season at the Middleton arena the 1^st and 2^nd of October. “Skating on the Pond” is 6” x 12”.

Through the Gate

The barn in this painting can be found on the road from Annapolis to Bridgewater, and is one of my favorite sites along the route. Inspired by this barn again this week on a recent trip to the shore, I decided it was time to use it in another image. I do hope you enjoy this painting and the wonderful, peaceful scene it conjures. “Through the Gate” is 9” x 12”.
