Exercising the Oxen

One of my favorite things is to watch a pair of oxen as the trudge along, swaying from side to side.  They make it look like they are in charge, but the teamster needs to remain in control.  This painting entitled "Exercising the Oxen" is 11" x 14".

Preparing for Winter

By this time the harvest has been stored away for use during the long winter.  This scene entitled "Preparing for Winter" depicts a family storing vegetables in their cold cellar.  Great memories.  Hope to see you at the Somerset Christmas Craft Fair this weekend just outside Berwick (Saturday and Sunday, 10 - 4)

The Peak of Fall Colors

The lobster season is well under way just as the fall colors peak and nature celebrates.  This painting "The Peak of Fall Colors" depicts the Nova Scotia coastline in mid October.  It is 6" x 12".

Roadside Stand

This painting entitled "Roadside Stand" (9" x 12") depicts a glorious autumn day in the Annapolis Valley.  The produce has been harvested and is ready for sale.  This Saturday is the last outdoor Farmer's and Trader's Market for the year.  Hope to see you there.  Thanks to everyone who has made this a very special season.  Looking forward to 2013!

End of Season

I am certainly enjoying painting fall scenes.  It is a beautiful autumn day here on the shore and it promises to be nice again tomorrow.  A cruise ship will be visiting Digby tomorrow and I will be there selling my paintings.  If you are in the area, drop by and see this painting entitled "End of Season" ( 7" x 9") along with many other originals, prints, cards and calendars.  I will be there from 12 - 8.

Farm Market

Autumn officially begins tomorrow; my favorite time of year.  I love the changing colors, the crisp, cool air, and the bountiful harvest.  I am astounded by God’s handiwork as he prepares us for the long winter to come.   “Farm Market” captures this for me.  It is 9” x 12”.
