This is another painting of Port George in the early 1800’s taken from a postcard I purchased last summer at the Candle in the Window Gift Shop. This is just one of the many wharfs that lined the coast of this shipping community during that period. If you are visiting this part of the province, take the opportunity to visit the gift shop and be regaled with stories from the past. You will be amazed at the history of this beautiful area. The painting is called “A Wharf at Port George, N. S. and is 6” x 12”.
