Although it is warm here in Kentucky, it is not swimming weather. However, it got me to thinking about swimming at Bloody Creek and I decided to do this painting. Although the swimming hole is a different one, it still depicts the fun filled hours spent during the summer cooling off in the clear water. “Lakeside Leisure” is 11” x 14”.
When remembering all the chores my mother did on a daily basis when I was a child, gardening always ranks high on the list. Although dad would work the soil and plant the seeds, mom always found her way to the garden daily to weed and hoe the new shoots. Being in Arizona, it is easy to imagine working in the garden on a hot summer day. Something wonderful to look forward to as the warm weather approaches at home. “Gardening” is 6” x 12”.
Soon the days will be getting longer and we will be able to enjoy being outside on a warm summer evening. Farmers will take advantage of the extra hours of sunlight in order to get ahead with their chores. I am currently on vacation in Arizona where it is much warmer than home, but the evenings are still short here. I look forward to summer in the valley. “Long Summer Evening” is 7” x 9”.
Although I am surrounded by a glorious snowy landscape, my thoughts wander to summertime and the beautiful countryside. I hope you enjoy this 11” x 14” painting entitled “Welcome to the Valley”. It certainly gave me pleasure creating it. 
Close to Christmas - 9" x 12"
It is that time of year again, and if you are not into artificial you are hunting for the ideal Christmas tree. Oh such fond memories of trudging through the woods with my dad, looking for the perfect one. “Bringing Home the Christmas Tree” is 9” x 12”. Join me this Saturday from 10 – 4 at the Annapolis Legion for the Annual Farmer’s and Trader’s Christmas Market. Also, beginning on December 8th, several of my paintings will be on display and for sale at the Designer Cafe in Kentville, N.S for the entire holiday season.
